Assessment

As an educator I often question myself: How do I know that the students know? How can I be sure that my learners grasped the concept and possess the required knowledge and skills? The answer is through assessment - formative and summative.

I think formative assessment is something we constantly apply as teachers. Even through simple discussions with students on daily basis, we can learn where they are at in their studies.

By implementing formative assessment I assure myself that all of my students understood the lectures and could analyze and synthesize the learned concepts through hands-on activities. For instance, due to frequent discussions during the sculpting class, the skills and progress were assessed regularly and the outcomes were well achieved.
